A real cup of cappuccino is made with espresso, but the espresso is traditionally made through a steaming method which reduces the caffeine. That is unless you make the espresso in a caffetiera that you turn upside down (I think that is the Neopolitan method) in which case you do not lose the caffeine.

Then of course you steam the milk until it gets all frothy and add the espresso to it. Yummy

Cappuccino coffee is espresso coffee with cream in a bigger cup and it does have a lot of caffeine so it will keep you up.

    Cappuchino is coffee . . .

Brewed (drip) coffee is US stuff . . .

Espresso is steamed coffee, usually thought of as Italian. It’s more strongly flavored, yet has less acid, less caffeine than typical brewed coffee. It’s served in tiny little cups.

Cappuchino is made of equal parts espresso, steamed milk, and foamed milk.

A latte is mostly steamed milk, some foam, and espresso, usually with flavors (mocha, etc.)

And yes, it can be stimulating, and rarely does anyone sleep after downing several large cappuchinos! :o )

The USDA value for Espresso coffee is 64 mg caffeine per fluid ounce.

A cappuccino has 2 shots of expresso.
so that gives a cup of cappuccino 128 mg of caffeine.

A cup of brewed coffee has about 80 – 135 depending on how strong your beans are.
